Cookies and privacy
Signing in
You sign in with Discord. From Discord the site receives your username, your Discord ID and your avatar. It does not ask for your email address. The site sets one session cookie so it knows it is you. It is needed for sign-in to work, is only sent to this site, and goes when you sign out or it expires.
Linking Steam is optional and happens from your account page. If you do, the site receives your public SteamID64 and, if the league has switched it on, your public Steam name and picture. Steam is never used to sign in.
What the league keeps
- Your display name, time zone, linked accounts and the teams and roles you hold.
- Rosters teams upload, which can include a player’s name and SteamID64 before that person has an account.
- The league’s own records: slots, matches, results, ratings and reputation, and a log of who did what and when.
Display names, teams, results and ratings are public on the site. SteamID64s are visible only to a team’s own staff and the league staff.
Counting visits
If the league has switched on analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU), the site counts page views and clicks without storing anything on your device. If you choose Allow in the cookie choices, it also sets a cookie so return visits join up, and records anonymous sessions with everything you type hidden. Choosing No thanks keeps the cookie-free counting only. You can change your mind at any time from Cookie choices in the footer.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, no analytics runs at all. Sign-in, welcome, account, team dashboard, team settings, slot-posting and admin pages are never counted or recorded. With analytics switched off, none of this happens and nothing is sent anywhere.
Stored on your device
- Your cookie choice (analytics allowed or not).
- The time zone you picked for showing times.
- Whether interface sounds are on, their volume, and whether you answered the one-off sound offer. Sounds are off until you turn them on.
- Whether you chose to reduce motion.
- Which site announcement you have closed.
These stay in your browser. The time zone is also saved to your account when you are signed in; the rest is not sent to the league.
The Discord bot
The bot acts on the commands you run, the buttons and forms you use, and the league events it posts. It uses your Discord ID and roles to know who you are, and gives and removes the league roles for people who have linked their account. It does not read other messages.
In a support ticket the league keeps your answers, who handled it, when it was closed and any rating you give. If the league switches it on, staff also get a transcript of that ticket channel when it closes.
Bot check
If the league has switched it on, sign-in may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It is loaded only on pages that need it.
Still to come
Who runs the league, how to contact them about your data, how long data is kept and your legal rights will be added here once they are confirmed.
